WINNER OF WEEK 89 : Marnie Mains

Marnie Mains' song "Ferris Wheel" is the winner of Original Compo-10, week 89.

Marnie is a singer/songwriter from Vancouver. She started singing at a very early age in choirs. She sang for the Prince & Princess of Whales and also in the Amadeus Children's Choir. She started writing her own songs about five years ago, however being a great singer and breaking into the music business are two completely different matters. It is with this in mind that she is now looking for management, booking, publicity and record label interest.

Marnie and her band have recently appeared on CBC TV as semi-finalists chosen from over 1,000 applicants for the Great Canadian Music Dream, as well as the Urban Rush talk show on Shaw Cable. Marnie has completed four music videos and is just finishing her full length CD. Marnie also hosts the open mic at the Picadilly Pub in Vancouver.
